New Weekly Tradition
Apr. 14th, 2007 08:16 pmIt's Doctor Who again ;)
Had the incredibly bad, awful, no good luck to be watching this episode with Mum, both sisters and a sister's friend. Therefore there are no observations on this episode, purely because Sister #1 has this very annoying habit of asking questions in-bloody-cessantly about things that no, we don't have any idea about because we haven't watched the freaking episode either!!!!!!!!!
Sigh.
But yeah, liked the episode, even if it was full of flying Volkswagen camper vans (lol, Mother). Ardal O'Hanlon as a cat was fun, as were his kids.
Martha, on the other hand, I'm still not so sure about. Seems like RTD and his cohorts are trying too hard to recreate the Doctor/Rose situation, in which case it's backfiring rather badly. Got to let things develop rather than forcing the issue.
The ending was a nice moment of friendship between the Doctor and Martha, talking about Gallifrey. Some development there for Martha, too. She only survived past the trip to the Globe because the Doctor doesn't want to travel alone so soon after Rose and yeah, even Donna, left the TARDIS. This is a whole new dynamic (at least as far as the new series is concerned), and one that could work so well if RTD and co. handle it well enough.
In Next Week's Episode...
DALEKS!!
Whee!
