No, no. That's just the setup for the New Alien Species of the book. They're freaky little things with a serious penchant for nanites and stockpiling redundant weapons ;)

Lol ahh ;). Kinda reminded me of "Das Zentralgehirn" for a moment there - that's a TOS novel, and don't go asking me about the English title, because I've read them all in German ;). Anyways, that book was less of a novel and more of a technical manual ;).

Oh, yuck. Nah, this one has a fair amount of technobabble in it (as any good Trek book should ;) ), but at the same time there's a hell of a plot (and even secondary Chakotay/Seven UST *gag*), and much whumping all around ;)
