fiddlesticks.
Sep. 15th, 2010 07:24 pmRandom Things I Learned Today:
- Of 100 British people asked (for a gameshow) what currency the UK used, 7 people did not know the answer. Humanity, I despair for thee.
- My dad has a mohawk. My brother is responsible. I have seen the photos and I am traumatised.
- Getting up before 7am is not the end of the world, even if my brain disagrees.
- I should not click on links for challenges. In the... four? no, five days since watching Inception I have managed to generate enough plot to satisfy the word count requirement for
inception_bang. There's backstory and unrequited love and a character being a total, unrelenting badass despite being confined to a hospital bed for most of the story. And, at current count, two random crossovers. And there are two scenes in my head that already I would happily maim to see artwork made for.
- Vidding is fun! :D
- Bulletpoint format is not.
Work's taking off again, sort of. Mother's finally decided that she needs more organisation in her (working) life, so she's recruiting a former neighbour to start doing accounting and general bookkeeping, which she'll be able to start on in a month or so, and Yours Truly will be handling the day to day paperwork side of things - running up invoices, worksheets on a per-job basis, that sort of thing. We're going printer shopping at the weekend, as I'm going to need one at the flat so I can run between work and here almost literally at a moment's notice if need be.
...And there was something else, but I've forgotten. It'll come back to me later.
