Watched Top Gear and new Beeb offering Sherlock back-to-back. Fantastic on one hand because both were excellent. Bad, because I didn't put out the bin before Top Gear, meaning I had to do it after Sherlock. In the dark.

Did I mention I'm in the middle of sodding nowhere at the moment?

I am so serious on that point. There's me, a garden centre the other side of the garden fence, and that's it. There might be another house on the other side of us, but I can't see it from the driveway and I've never asked.

Technically I don't even think we're in a village. There's a B road that sort of forks off just across from the gates. That definitely leads to a village in one direction, and a town in the other. Not too sure where we fall in relation.

There are no streetlights. Anywhere. And on the walk from the bottom of the driveway back to the front door, the one thought that popped into my head?

My life for the next week is an episode of Midsomer Murders just waiting to happen.

It was worth it though - Sherlock was epic.

Yes please! That way, it'll feel more like I'm there, geeking out with you over the Beeb and holding your hand in the dark.
