thelibraniniquityGordon Brown's just announced that he's tendered his resignation as Prime Minister (and as Labour party leader) and has effectively allowed David Cameron to be invited to form a government.
ETA: And David Cameron is now the new Prime Minister. Seemingly in coalition with the Liberal Democrats, although that one is not set in stone yet.
And there are some rather casually dressed civil servants loitering outside Number Ten. Malcolm Tucker would not approve, lol.
ETA the 2nd: And we have intention of a coalition between the Tories and the Lib Dems. Hello, new politics. You've been a long time coming.
