Jan. 5th, 2010 10:00 pmFirst things first, found while trawling for vid recs: If you see this on someone's post, quote Leo McGarry.
Toby: We're really not gonna do anything about this?
Leo: Yeah, cause what we really need to do is arrest people for being mean to the President.
Toby: There is no law. There is no decency.
Leo: [on the phone with the New York Times] 17 across. Yes, 17 across is wrong... You're spelling his name wrong... What's my name? My name doesn't matter. I am just an ordinary citizen who relies on the Times crossword for stimulation. And I'm telling you that I met the man twice. And I recommended a pre-emptive Exocet missile strike against his air force, so I think I know how...
C.J.: Leo.
Leo: They hang up on me every time.
C.J: That's almost hard to believe.
In other news: Happy New Year, y'all! Hope 2010 starting out well for everyone! Not me though, I think I'm coming down with the lurgy. And I think our little seaside town is going to get lambasted with snow tonight - Daddy Dearest took Baby Brother back to uni today, and as of around two hours ago was stuck somewhere just west of Southampton. Not good.
On a funnier note, in work with The Mother today, I managed to successfully freak her out by explaining to her (using 2012 as a toally scientific resource) why the world is going to end in two years' time. I think we started out talking about global warming, then I got onto the end of the world. I then tried to cheer her up by pointing out that according to Star Trek's calendar, as long as humanity makes it to April 2063, everything will turn out awesome for us. Fun times :D
I tried setting up the dance mat this evening, thinking hey, I could do with the exercise... only to find out the mat isn't compatible with the game after all. But considering both mat and game came to less than £5 to begin with, I can't be arsed to whine. But I will start looking for suitable - and compatible - alternatives.
And I'm viddiiiiiiiiing :D Not right now, obviously, but it is more than just another notch on an ever-growing to do list. The to do list is getting done. Kind of.
