I HAVE A FLAT \o/

And assuming the tenancy agreement documents ever make it into my inbox for me to fill out and return, I'll be moving in at the end of the month.

I'm going furniture shopping this weekend, as there's some stuff that I either don't have or is too big to get into the flat, and I have a two and a half week deadline for sorting out legal-slash-financial-slash-other stuff. Utilities are the main thing, I think. That and internet. Gotta have my internet!

And it's kinda scary though... so this is what being grown up feels like!

Congrats! That's awesome!

Just to warn you - it feels even more grown-up (although less nicely) to sit there and try to sort out all those pesky costs for the flat. I mean, rent, council tax, water, gas, energy, phone, etc pp... (Just a small warning to stop you getting the panic attack I had.)

I hope all goes well, though. :D

Yeah... Mum and I have already sat down and worked out budgeting and basic costing for the first six months, including stuff like council tax (estate agent told us which band the flat was in, which helped immensely), and assumed costs for utilities etc. Setting all of that up's going to be the fun part, because I suck at conversations, especially phone conversations, where I don't completely understand what I'm talking about. Though Mum and I did come to the conclusion that I'm going to be able to afford to keep living on my own, which is definitely good.

Yeah, the phoning thing is very, very nervewracking. It almost made me cry. But it is TOTALLY worth it. Having your own place is sooooo awesome!

Eat cookie dough until you get sick, run around naked all day, watch porn with the volume really loud. Uhm... Totally not speaking from experience here.
