Because it occurs to me that if I don't update my LJ now, I'll probably forget for another week. Oops ;)
I'm at my grandparents' for the second time today, sorting out their antivirus renewal. Because I can get it for less than a third of the price they were willing to shell out yesterday (retail price? Psh!), which makes me awesome.
Not really been up to much recently, except for working my mismatched socks off on a large Roman blind order - and we've got another one coming up which is even bigger (around 18 blinds to make in a two week timeframe... kill me now...).
On the fannish side of things, I'm actually writing (gasp!) at the moment, and I'm even kind of enjoying it. Got a couple of vids in the early stages of making that I've taken to prodding when I'm awake enough to not get migraines staring at a clip timeline.
AND NEW TELEVISION STARTING THIS WEEK \o/ I've already caught The Big Bang Theory, I was interrupted about five minutes into Castle by Daddy Dearest's complete ineptitude when it comes to all things computer related, and I'm working on getting my hands on new The Mentalist. Not to mention the other shows I should probably know the premiere dates for, but have other means of keeping track of.
And on the subject of television, have part of a rather entertaining conversation I had with Daddy Dearest while we were waiting for the antivirus to install. Apparently all we have in common any more is American procedural dramas.
Daddy Dearest: What about that show, Warehouse 13? Have you seen that?
tli: Haven't watched it. People on the internet agree it's pretty crap though.
DD: And they would be [dramatic Shatner-esque pause] right.
I don't know what's more amusing, Daddy Dearest and I talking, ahem, maturely about television imports, or the fact he's been trying the Sci Fi channel.
