Today is digitaljessie's birthday, which has meant much wandering around Brighton, having giggles and trying to translate internet-speak into English. Fun times.

Been slowly catching up on Stargate Atlantis canon... slowly. Made it to the back half of season 4, and it's boring me beyond all rational belief. And from what I've heard, season 5 hasn't improved much in terms of watchability, but I'll see with that one when I get to it. Probably better I slog through the remaining episodes than constantly bombard wihluta with endless questions about everything and everyone for background for my sgabigbang entry. Because of course I'm writing a story heavily dependent on a year and a half's worth of material I haven't even watched yet. The hell, self?

...And there was something else I was going to write about, but I've forgotten. Maybe later...

Oh yeah. Kirk/Bones *grins* I posted my second fanmix about those two crazy people last night, which can be found here if anybody is so interested :D

I wrote 2 post-series DS9 fics before I even watched season 5 out of 7. Ahem.

It's some kind of miracle that I didn't fuck up too much.

The really fun part is that I have the entire storyline for my Big Bang entry mapped out, complete with a few specific scenes here and there. I just need the canon to make sure I'm not going glaringly off track, since I want the story to continue from the series finale as smoothly as possible.

Being me, I'm of course procrastinating catching up on SGA canon by, well, pretty much anything I can think of. Going to get there in the end though! *has the chocolate ready* :D

There are some really good eps in s5. Not many, but they are there. So... it's worth sticking it out, I guess.

As long as you concentrate on the pretty boys (and girls) and forget about the increasingly ridiculous plotlines.

Yeah... the thing that's really sad about watching episodes like "This Mortal Coil" and "Quarantine" is that, for the very most part, the first half of season 4 was just so good. Like, I'm really bloody enjoying this and not just for the dork factor. I'm not really into SGA for the pretty, but every so often they do throw up some kickass storylines (loved "Spoils of War" even though the dialogue was painful in places), so I think it's the hope of those cropping up every now and again that's going to get me through this. You may well some very random emails in the near future, asking weird questions about who said what and things like that, just to warn you! ;D

LOL, look at me, I'm making this sound like torture or something. Then again I've just completed watching Six Feet Under. Perfection on television, nothing's ever going to match up to that *wistful sigh*

I've never seen Six Feet Under (not really my type of show), but I have found Perfection (yes, capital P) with Life (combinded with Standoff it is heaven).
And then they cancelled it, which broke my heart. *sniffs*
