I think I've finally found someone who can rival my granny in the chatterbox stakes. I called my best friend's mum earlier to check dates for me to go down there in July, and what should have been a simple two minute conversation
instead turned into a twenty minute epic of what the best friend is getting up to on holiday in Egypt, how many times she's emailed back, what the house she's staying in is like, how important it is for her to have this time to herself, the circumstances behind there even being a birthday party in the first place... you get the idea.
In other news, still no progress on the vidding front. Both the G/B project and a new SGA bunny have been put on hold for now. My entry for
sga_genficathon is due in less than two weeks, and predictably I'm still nowhere near finished (cue panicked flailing).
Also work's going a bit mental at the moment, which doesn't help matters. Well, it helps financial matters. The fannish stuff... not so much. I've got a lovely collection of second-hand books building up on top of my television though. Will have to find the time to read those soon, I think.
Me: I can get bus tickets between x and y. Is that okay?
Best Friend's Mum: Sure.
