Had my first finals exam this morning, the essay portion of the Peoples, Tribes & Nations history double module. I would like to think I did rather well, despite staying up 'til four this morning reading A Stitch in Time. Wrote solidly for just over an hour and a quarter, and then twiddled my thumbs for twenty minutes because I didn't want to be the first person to leave.

The skim reading of everything this morning paid off; I managed to use both Nigeria and South Africa as examples (and since my dissertation was on neither of those countries, I have zero chance of repeating material) in both questions, and found myself thoroughly enjoying answering the second question.

"Ethnicity rather than class has been the dominant feature in African politics." Discuss.

Refrained myself from beginning my answer with, "Bitch, please. Of course ethnicity's dominant." I even discussed ;)

Gobbets tomorrow. Two hours' worth of analysing primary sources. Whoop de do.
