Firefly (of which Serenity is the ship) is one of the best sci-fi shows I have ever watched. It's funny, smart, original, and shouldn't have been cancelled! Yay for the movie, though.
2. Sofas
Specifically, the big red three-piece Mum and Mike got recently. The obvious downside of no more sofabed aside, the new red set is large, comfy and perfect for sprawling out across (or curling up on) with a laptop and wireless internet connection ;)
3. Sciuto, Abby
A Goth forensic scientist/lab tech is something that really doesn't work, but does! One of the leads on NCIS, aside from Gibbs she's one of my favourite characters. Oh, and she's addicted to high-caffeine-content drinks!
4. Staffordshire
Specifically the corner of it where Keele University is located. It's one of the largest campus universities in the country, I think, and it's been my home for nearly one and a half years now. Only another one and a half left!
5. Stew
Liver and kidneys and potatoes and dumplings and... *drools*
6. Star Trek
I've lived with it all my life (I swear I grew up on TOS repeats and TNG eps), and my heart will always belong to Deep Space 9. What? Don't look at me like that.
7. Somewhere Only We Know
One of the best songs off Keane's debut album, although I quite like Natasha Bedingfield's cover of it as well.

8. Schizophrenia
It's a fun concept, isn't it? Okay, I'm not making light of it, I know it's a serious condition, but it's kind of how I used to feel whenever I wrote. That nothing was coming from me, I was just a channel for the voices in my head (who "happened" to sound suspiciously like Stargate team members, or Starfleet personnel) who refused to shut the hell up.
9. Satire
YES! I adore this. Merton n' Hislop, O'Briain & co., Bremner, Bird and Fortune... how I love thee *happy sigh*

10. Snow Patrol
Been saving this one for last, still not entirely sure why. But hey. No thanks to Ms Pen, I now adore Snow Patrol, and have all 4 of their albums to date. I have at least 3 of their songs on my mp3 player at any given time, usually more than that. I'm currently hooked on "Set the Fire to the Third Bar", "Wow" and "You Could Be Happy". For a bunch of guitar wielding shaggy Scots, they're not half bad ;)
