Despite KADU's links with white settlers in Kenya and colonial officials in both Nairobi and Westmister, and their perceived position as the British authorities' "protegees" (Darwin p. 267), the fact that they were pushing for majimboism as part of the Kenyan constitution created a tangible divide between the Africans in the party and the British in the administration, and arguably widening the one that already existed between them and the unitary factions within KANU.

Add to this the very real possibility that had majimboism become constitutional, rather than be potentially dominated by the Kikuyu and Luo on a unitary national political stage, the smallest tribes within the KADU coalition would still have risked domination at the hands of the numerically larger tribes within the regions proposed by the majimbo constitution (Kyle p. 148)








Lessons Learned:

What's that you say about white settlers in Cardassia?!?!
They moved there last summer for the hot reptilian porn high culture, arts and literature. Despite the conservative Local District Authorities' greater efforts, and even with the intervention of the Cardassian Intelligence Bureau, those pesky kids humans won't leave until they get what they want. Another six months and they qualify for squatters' rights. And then Cardassia's doomed. DOOMED, I say.

(Harvard is awesome in its simplicity and time saving ease. Footnotes are the bitch spawn of the devil.)

Also. I pulled an all-nighter and like wrote an entire essay from midnight until now. Its a pile of shit, but thats ok. Now I just need to reference all my hand-ins for tomorrow and i'm good.

BUT LIEK. My cancelled last Middle East class has been rescheduled to 12-2 today. And my last Radical Protest is 2-4. I hate my life.

Also, ouch to the seminars. I only have one more left, 2 joyous hours with darling Luther tomorrow before I can go home for a week and, you know, SLEEP.

Before blessed, blessed snoring however, I have to finish writing up/editing le dissertation, put together the bibliography and make sure my printer's working. Which, being the temperamental little shit that it is, it won't. So that'll be me in the library using up all their ink and trees to compile this monstrosity, and up at like the crack of dawn tomorrow to get it bound.

Death, finances, stomach bugs and diarrhoea have led me to this *hates life*
