In which I hoard... a lot.
Jun. 1st, 2010 03:19 pmThis afternoon I decided it was high time to hunt for the power cable for the external hard drive that's been sitting dormant on my coffee table for a good couple of months now. It's not the kind of thing I would ever throw out and my flat is only tiny, hence I was reasonably confident in my ability to find it.
Except for the part where I didn't find it.
What I did find includes the following:
- Two laptops complete with power cables, both ancient and both conclusively broken.
- A buttload of USB cables of various sizes and lengths.
- A buttload of scart cables for the PS2, GameCube and two N64 consoles that live on the chest next to the coffee table. I'm confident at least some of these work.
- Two notebooks in pristine condition.
- A roll of sellotape \o/
- The power cable for my GameBoy Colour, which means I can once again play Pokemon without relying on batteries.
- Two teeny tiny little shoulder bags that serve no practical purpose other than being smaller than my rucksack.
- Two N64 controllers, bringing my total back up to four again.
- A couple of skirts. Those I thought I had thrown out. Oops.
- A desktop computer sized hard drive, without a case.
- A Klingon.
- A buttload of random plugs, and I have no idea what they're supposed to be for. Weirdly, they all have the same shaped sockety-type thing at the far end of the cables.
...Time to be organising all this newly found old stuff, methinks ;)
