Oh, come on. How bloody difficult can one piece of software be to operate?

VERY bloody difficult apparently, and it's getting harder not to lose my temper over not being able to do the SIMPLEST BLOODY THING WITH A .BMP FILE.

I just want Ulead back, is that so much to ask??

What stops you from simply saving it as a png/xcf/whatever file and working with that?

Well, as I said, the Gimp does need some getting used to. But you can be sure that it never does anything that you didn't tell it to ;).

I like that in a program. I know, though, that that's not how everybody feels (if they did, we'd all be working with Linux, lol ;) ).

I guess it's a matter of taste. I remember taking a look at the Ulead prog once, and I must say - uh, no thanks ;). But whatever works, right? :)
