Happy Belated Birthday Me ;D
Nov. 1st, 2007 06:41 pmI finally bought the RAM upgrade for my laptop today, courtesy of my uncle in Texas.
And in about 23 and a half hours I'll know if I've got my third DS9 boxset. Luckily for me my granny is an awesome old lady who totally understands my sci fi obsession, and was nothing less than supportive when I told her about the buy-a-thon I started last week.
Finally, HOUSE BOXSET NEXT WEEK, YAY!!
...And in other birthday related news I really have to get cracking with the B-Day Bunneh for
explodedpen. Once the Africa seminar tomorrow is out of the way, I will continue writing. I have a chapter plan and everything! The last time I was this organised with a fic it ended up over 66,000 words. Except I have about three weeks this time, not three months. But let's not go there just yet ;)

Date: 2007-11-02 05:36 pm (UTC)well I do have some tv versions of Enterprise and ogg(ogm) versions of almost all of NG and I have video casettes of german Voy. But to me all those don't really count, because I want the real stuff on DVD.

Date: 2007-11-02 05:50 pm (UTC)OMG I have a whole collection of Voyager VHS tapes in the garage at home, not to mention the first series of Enterprise too... god, I spent so much money collecting those videos!
But yeah, nothing quite beats having the DVDs. Most of my family seem resigned to the fact they'll be getting me boxsets for Christmas *grins*

Date: 2007-11-02 06:04 pm (UTC)LOL - my whole family is absolutely crazy about StarTrek, so no one looks at me strangely when I start squeeeing about it to them. Which is great. But still they don't see why I would want to buy the DVDs when we have "perfectly fine german tv-taped VHS already". DUH! I want them in English and in good quality, please... ;-)
