So yeah, last night I went and put up my second claim for the [profile] alterego_thon, for which I plan to write Macbeth in the Stargate Atlantis universe, as well as my first claim which was to adapt K-PAX for House, MD.

Of course this resulted in a load more ideas, which I have absolutely zero intention of writing, or even thinking about again, except as entertainment. Of course, that doesn't preclude anyone else from writing them, either seriously or as crack ;)

Four House fusion bunnies:

The Sound of Music
The cantankerously crippled, world-famous diagnostician Dr. Gregory House is hired by the rich and reclusive cancer researcher James Wilson to diagnose each of his three ex-wives, who share his house as well as his salary. With the three Mrs. Wilsons determined to hold onto their single worldly asset at any cost, Dr. House must fight an uphill battle when he realises his employer is falling in love with him.

A Midsummer Night's Dream
Determined to realise her boss' romantic feelings towards her, despite being in a relationship with colleague Robert Chase, Allison Cameron enters into a shady deal with the hospital pharmacist for a powerful Tibetan aphrodisiac that causes lust at first sight. Substituting the pills for Gregory House's Vicodin, she sits back and waits for the narcotics to take effect, only for things to go disastrously wrong when House's long-suffering friend James Wilson takes a Vicodin for a migraine before walking into House's office, shortly after House takes his dosage while ranting at Chase over a procedural error. What ensues is a tangled mess of closet sex and office blowjobs until the natural order of things is eventually restored in the Diagnostics department.

28 Days
After a Vicodin overdose indirectly leads to a patient's death, Dr. Gregory House is sentenced to 28 days in a rehabilitation centre, where he immediately butts heads with the centre's owner and main sponsor Edward Vogler, and finds an unlikely friend in roommate James Wilson, a former oncologist who has three times tried to kill himself in the wake of the deaths of his wife and unborn child.

As Good As It Gets
Meticulous and borderline obsessive-compulsive, Dr. Gregory House has long prided himself on being antisocial, and has long standing barriers between himself and the people he works with, and even the ones he treats. But all of that is set to change when the new head of oncology's office attracts termites, and House finds himself forced to share office space with the young and passionate Dr. James Wilson, who seems as intent on fixing House as House is as finding some flaw in his new roommate's design.
