reviews, sort of.
Aug. 22nd, 2011 04:15 pmI've been watching lots of things lately, because my brother's 40" TV is awesome and he's coming back to claim it the week after next. It has a usb port, which I'm going to miss ;)
Telly
- Strike Back - British special forces drama type thing. One episode in and I quite like the look of it. Andrew Lincoln's much smarmier than I remember him being in Teachers.
- Breaking In - Half hour comedy about a team of 'break in' specialists... and sadly not very funny. The main character's rival (I can't even remember any of their names!) was probably the best thing about it.
- Stargate Universe - Watched Air, Parts 1 & 2 last night and it was much better than I was expecting. Got the next few episodes queued up, so I'll see how that one goes.
- NCIS: Los Angeles - Just started season 2. The plots are overly complex sometimes, but I like the interplay with the different characters. ALTHOUGH IF NATE GOES AWAY AND DOESN'T COME BACK I WILL NOT BE A HAPPY BUNNY.
Films
- City of Ember - Bored me after about 20 minutes despite the vaguely interesting premise.
- Cropsey - Documentary about an alleged serial killer in Staten Island. Creepy as hell, but compelling.
I've still got the original Planet Of The Apes queued up to watch, as well as a few other films whose names escape me right now. And a couple more pilot episodes, since it's not worth burning them off unless I've got a significant chunk of the season to go with them.
