Doctor Who

Just watched the first episode of the new series.
This was actually kind of a cool episode. Martha Jones, as the soon-to-be resident sidekick in the TARDIS, was good in this episode. I know it's in the nature of the BBC (and thus the gutter/other press of this country) to constantly hype up every single thing about this show, so by the time it got to tonight, I was kinda wary about Freema Agyeman's character. I suppose I'm too wary of the "way too coincidental to be a coincidence thing". Like the new female boss of the Jeffersonian in Bones turning out to be an ex-fuck buddy of the male lead of the show *insert sceptical look here*. But back to Doctor Who... yeah, I liked it. The Doctor was bound to bond with some smart-arse in the hospital to figure everything out and save the day. And better Martha than that wet blanket she was friends with ;)
Random London hospital on the moon! That was so cool. Especially the discussion that eventually led to the revelation of the bubble surrounding the building. Also cool was the explanation of the fact that Agyeman's been in the series before, as one of the Torchwood employees upgraded by the Cybermen in the Army of Ghosts/Doomsday two parter... her character then, Adeola was Martha's cousin. Works for me... my aunt and one of her cousins are damn near identical.
There was also a five minute spot midway through the episode I missed due to one of the sisters making me spill tea down my front, but I don't think I missed anything gut-wrenchingly important... ;)
The Doctor can do a genetic transfer via a kiss!!
Hmm... Captain Jack can spread life through a kiss...
... is anyone else wondering what would happen if those two kissed with intent...?!?!
Only 10 more weeks until Captain Jack's back on the TARDIS. This oughta be good ;)
