a time to sew and a time to pleat

Spent a solid seven hours at work yesterday, and most of it was spent stitching triple pleats into these god-awful curtains with thick fabric and integrated cord running the full length of the fabric. I am still achey and tired from this. I hate work. Except I don't, because there's usually this nifty little outcome of bills being paid and the ability to go places without being driven by a parent. Sigh.

Ooh! Went to see Toy Story 3 on Wednesday with an old schoolfriend. Both the company and the film were excellent, and we even spotted an actual *kid* in the queue to get in for the film! I'd kill (or at least maim) for some animated icons, might have to have a proper hunt around for some tomorrow.

And I've been thinking a lot about head-canon and backstories lately, thanks to a series of conversations with lady_drace. Might throw a talky post together about that at some point. Then again... probably not!

On the bright side, I'm getting better at typing on the desktop computer's keyboard. Not much better, given how many times I've hit the backspace button for this entry alone, but the improvement is there! ...Somewhere.
