August is upon us. Or rather, it is upon my bank balance. I have five family birthdays this month - including all three siblings within six days of each other (that's just cruel). This is almost as bad as Christmas. Actually, I think it's worse - at least at Christmas I get presents back from people!
Been back at home for a full week now after house-sitting in the middle of nowhere - and I might be house-sitting again in a couple of weeks. Or not, apparently, depending on a whole bunch of things. It's all up in the air at the moment, which doesn't really help me or any plans I might want to make in the meantime.
I finally caught up with The Mentalist this week. Having watched the s2 finale, it's become my little pet theory that ( spoilers? ). But considering how much I suck at whodunnits, I'm not putting much weight on that. It does make a lot of sense in my head though.
Got the last few episodes of that new Spartacus series to get through still. And I should probably watch s3 of Torchwood at some point before that makes a reappearance on the tellybox. I've had the DVDs sitting on my shelf since Christmas... still haven't actually watched any of it!
Randomly, I found out recently that the TV adaptation of Mark Billingham's Tom Thorne books isn't going to be aired on terrestrial TV at all, but on Sky. That makes me far crankier than it probably should - and also means I'll probably be camping out at the grandparents so that I can watch it.
And finally... Sherlock is awesome.
