Engineering works...
May. 26th, 2008 06:17 pm...suck. Really and truly they suck. Rather than simply change at Watford Junction tomorrow as I had been planning, on the train journey back up to Stoke, I now have to change at Watford and also Stafford. Blech.
It's also the same situation for Wednesday, in case I decide to spend another day down here. It all depends though. My dress for the Tory Ball is coming along rather nicely. It's now in a dark purple dupion, rather than the dark green I'd originally gone for, simply because the fabric shop didn't have a dark enough green in stock.
I could always stay down south until Wednesday. There's no pressingly urgent reason for me to be back at Keele tomorrow; the only thing dictating my plans at the moment is the progress of the dressmaking.
That's right, folks. This Thursday, for the first time in almost eight years, I will be wearing a dress. (The last time was for my sister's first communion, and even then I got changed almost immediately after getting home from the church!) And yes, there will be photographic evidence *sigh*
